It's been a great summer reconnecting with old friends and making a bunch of new ones. We have a couple of fantastic festivals coming up, starting with the 46th Annual Parkville Days on Friday, August 22. We'll share the lovely stage right on the banks of the Missouri River with the Scott Moyer Band and June Bug & the Porchlights. Then, on September 26, we will once again be at the Jammin' in JC Blues & BBQ Festival in Junction City. It's Kansas night as we kick things off with our friends The Terry Quiett Band and Levee Town. We hope to see you at one or both of these fine events!

Blues Blast Magazine Reviews "One More Before You Go"
June 19, 2014
The Back Porch Blues Band lays down a pleasing mix of contemporary blues this self-produced all-original debut studio recording. Based in eastern Kansas, this four-piece ensemble puts forth far more energy than their laid-back name suggests. They’re shuffle masters of the first order.
Together for 12 years, the group work both sides of the Missouri River and are popular performers at festivals throughout the Midwest in summer months.
Colorado, California, United Kingdom, Indiana, Australia, Poland - just a few of the places that "One More Before You Go" is being played. Many thanks to all of the DJ's and radio stations that are sharing the blues Back Porch style!
Review of "One More Before You Go"
May 5, 2014
Here is a nice review of "One More Before You Go" from Peter "The Blewzzman" Lauro:
Don't let the name Back Porch Blues Band fool you. These guys are not a bunch of laid back blues men sitting around the "back porch" pickin' and strummin' acoustic blues. Instead, they're a bunch contemporary Midwestern musicians kickin' up a storm with a mixed bag of blues styles that include Chicago, Texas and West Coast Swing....just to name a few.
