ROD PETERSON
Rod Peterson is a Midwest blues vocalist, harmonicist and songwriter. He founded the Back Porch Blues Band in 2002 and was the driving force behind it for thirteen years. During that time, the band played in a number of festivals and clubs in the Midwest in front of thousands of fans. Rod also produced the band's award=winning album, "One More Before You Go," which was a finalist in the Best Self-Produced CD competition at the 2014 International Blues Challenge. He worked with the Nick Hern Band for a brief time in 2011 and contributed three songs to their "Just Feel" album. Currently, Rod is fronting Rod Peterson and The Assembly, a jazzy, jump swing band showcasing the Kansas City area's finest musicians.
THE ASSEMBLY
Rod Peterson and The Assembly puts out a jazzy, jumping, swinging sound that takes you back to the great dance halls of the 50's and 60's. The finest musicians in the Kansas City area are showcased in this six-piece rhythm and blues ensemble. Paying homage to the great horn bands of the past as well as the pioneers of West Coast blues, The Assembly will have you jiving and shucking all night long!
